Autocad® Compatible – DWG as native file format

BitCAD allows you to read, write and display DWG files from Autocad® 2.5 to Autocad® 2008 with no need for conversion. Drawings are created natively in DWG format, can be shared between BitCAD and Autocad®; complete reliability warranted by our customers. It also uses DXF files, and it allows you to export in DWF, PDF, image file formats, WMF etc.

Network License

BitCAD allows licensing as standalone and network application. It ensures that companies will have control over licenses and license optimization.

Command line

Most CAD professionals have spent many years using and learning Autocad® commands that they do it naturally. Since those commands serve to create most of the work in CAD, BitCAD assigns equivalents for them automatically.
It is very easy to transfer personalized Autocad® environments to BitCAD. BitCAD works perfectly with symbol libraries, fonts (SHX) that typically form part of ADS programs and AutoLISP routines. BitCAD also supports AutoCAD®  menus (MNU), dialog boxes (DCL), scripts (SCR), and symbol libraries, which allows you easily continue working in your favorite drafting environment.

AutoLISP and ADS

BitCAD allows you to take advantage of the investment you made by developing AutoLISP routines to amortize and improve Autocad® functionality. This is an important feature, considering that there are thousands of those routines in private AutoLISP libraries and on the market in the shape of shared software. BitCAD executes most of the AutoLISP routines automatically. Existing ADS (Autocad Development Systems) routines, including DCL (Dialogue Control Language) can be executed after a prior compilation. Primeware can support you on this.

Macros

Like Microsoft Office program macros, BitCAD allows you to record and automate routine tasks. For instance, a file of routines can capture the names of BitCAD commands, the options and coordinates used in a specific task, saving valuable design time. BitCAD also reads SCR files (macros) created in Autocad®.

Audio Notes

Use this unique utility to embed voice notes in any entity you desire, increasing productivity between team members and providing an excellent way to share information.

Raster Image

Raster image support included in BitCAD let users load, manage and edit graphics files like pictures, scanned drawings and maps so they can be inserted in drawings. BitCAD  provide some useful utilities for image manipulation like color, grey scale, transparency and monochromatic corrections. Supported formats are BMP,GIF, JPG, PCX, TIF, TIFF, , TGA, PNG, RAS, and lots of other file formats. Images are able to be attached and managed with a very intuitive intarface.

Object Trim

Object trimming allows you to hide parts of a drawing. The trimmed parts are shown in the same color as the current background, so the details behind the trimming are not shown or printed.

3D Render

BitCAD lets you easily create 3D designs using the many 3D drawing tools available. Then, BitCAD includes DaVinci's render engine, providing you several possibilities to create realistic views of your work. You can easily control the lightning, textures, background, and much more.

Customize your work environment

BitCAD allows you to simply drag the icons for frequently used tools and commands and drop them where it will be easy for you to access them. A user-friendly interface will also allow you to customize the way you handle them and to import the ones you use from AutoCAD®.

BitCAD entities' explorer

BitCAD offers you an unique tool that allows you to easily view, edit, modify or create many drawing entities, such as layers, blocks, dimension styles, UCS, and much more. You can also copy these entities from a file to another with a simple drag-and-drop movement.

Multiple Windows

You can open and work in several files at once, as also embed objects from the model space into the paper space.

Recover/Audit

DWG are files very easy to corrupt. Normally, this files are shared and reviewed several times during their life cycle, which increases the possibility of something happens. BitCAD provides you these features in order to keep your files safe or recover other provided to you.

Unlimited Undo/Redo

BitCAD allows you to go back and forward unlimited times, providing you to reduce time controlling your actions.

Printing

The command Print and Print Preview supports Wipeout macros. You can also use the Print Style tables (CTB) previously created in Autocad®, as also easily create new ones.

Drawing options

BitCAD offers you many ways to produce your drawings, according your needs or methods of work. Between them, you can find fly-over snapping, a visual aid that will help you see and use entity snaps more efficiently, grid and ortho options, between many others.
